Welcome to Mira Creative Studio

Hej, and welcome

Mira Creative Studio is a new non-profit association — an ideell förening — in Täby, where creativity, technology and community come together for children, teenagers and young adults.

We're right at the beginning. The association is registered, the board is in place, and our first activities are being planned. This post is our way of saying hello, and of inviting you to be part of what comes next.

Why we started

Mira Creative Studio was born from lived experience. Our founders kept seeing the same thing: families struggling to find social, creative activities where their children feel understood, accepted and able to belong.

So we decided to build one — a place that is inclusive, creative and fun, where young people can express themselves, make friends, build confidence and grow, and where families feel supported and connected too.

We are built with autistic and neurodivergent young people in mind, and open to everyone who shares our values.

What we'll be doing

Our programme will grow with our members, but here's the plan:

  • Creative arts — painting, drawing, pottery and mixed media
  • Crafts & design — sewing, crochet, jewellery making and textiles
  • Digital creativity — digital art, animation, photography and film
  • Maker lab — 3D printing, robotics, electronics and coding
  • Sustainable making — upcycling, recycling and projects that give materials a second life
  • Community & events — workshops, exhibitions, guest speakers and social get-togethers

What we stand for

Belonging

A safe and welcoming space where everyone feels seen, heard and valued.

Creativity

Imagination, self-expression and trying new things without fear of mistakes.

Growth

Learning, progress and supporting each other to become the best we can be.

How you can be part of it

We're looking for members, volunteers, workshop leaders, partners and supporters — and for families who simply want to know when things start.

Register your interest and we'll get in touch. If you're a parent or guardian, please write on your child's behalf — we'll talk about what would suit them privately, once we're in touch.

You can also follow us on Instagram at @mira_creativestudio or join our Facebook group, Mira Creative Studio.

Create • Connect • Inspire • Grow — we can't wait to get started.
